VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES
Gesher Police Station
A British police station, built in the "Tigeret" police style. Built during the Second World War and began operating in 1944 as a border and customs police station.
The presence of this police station hindered the efforts of the underground activities of the "Haganah". The outside of the building is reminiscent of the days of the War of Independence.
Today, the building is used by the Israeli military, and entrance is prohibited.
Efforts are underway to prevent additional destruction to the building, and to proclaim it a national site.
